Elmo Document Camera
I used the Elmo Document Camera for the first time with my 4th grade small group. I taught a mathematics lesson on how to simplify fractions. Students were so excited to use the new equipment. I even took pics of them while they work. Cool stuff...

Reading Comprehension & Elmo
Today I used the Elmo with my 5th grade students. We were completing a Reading Comprehension lesson. I used the Elmo to show the story as we read the story aloud. The children were more attentive to the story as it was displayed on the screen as well as in front of them. They were able to use the Elmo to depict answers to comprehension questions. It was benefical to all of them especially when they were unsure where to find the response.

Tech Tip 12/8/08
http://www.wordle.net/
Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends. Share how you can use with your class.
